How accurate are those projections? Aren’t all the lists out there just guessing? My son’s buddy was “ranked” 4th-5th round and went 10th round. Another player we know was ranked late 2nd round and went 5th pick overall.

Thats why every list is meaningless. 20 teams have their lists that matter for April 12 and 13. That is it. Even OHLs central scouting list isnt relied on by the teams. Just grab ur popcorn and enjoy.

Meaning not all those invited to participate actually do and so they go to the waitlist to make sure they have 16 goalies (2 per team).

Why decline? Unless you are worried that attending will affect your draft negatively.

It happens. Look at last years combine and compare to first round or two. A quick comparison shows 5/22 first rounders were in the combine. Digging deeper though, 12 of the top 32 picks took part. Would be interesting to know why the others didn’t

A number of them don't want folks to know that the 5'9 170 theyve been telling folks is actually 5'6 150 prior to draft day. Or they want to go college route. Or they don't want to play best on best and show the league may have caught up to them since the year started. Or they can't get there. Many reasons.
