I drove a long way to be at the pro hockey camp this week and just 2 days in it feels like the biggest scam going. Kids here are sub par at best , even the so called 'elite' kids don't look that great. Many parents I talk too say their kids are playing AA.

I'm assuming this camp really has nothing to do with what the final team will look like?
Posted 8 minutes after the tryout? So you’re typing from the change-room? Troll job… keep watching from LiveBarn
Moron if you knew how to read and make sense of what I said and look at the time I said it you would be able to put together that I posted that between games after my kid played.

This camp is terrible bottom line and I shelled out to line pockets and have a kid or two skate free.

Well now you know. It’s a good camp for A kids and maybe some AA but the TBD and PH camps are not what it may have been in the past. If someone is going in to make a Brick team , no chance.

You have to get your kid on the radar at 6 by hitting up some camps. Then play on their spring teams and if your kid is good he’ll have a spot. The camps at older age groups will not get you anywhere and the talent level at the older camps is weak.

The talent this week and the Bulldogs week was all A/AA with maybe a handful of AAA but nothing to say wow that kids elite

We did a camp in March. Not so much for the Brick but we thought the TBD camp would have been decent but we were definitely disappointed. We would not attend one again.

TBD reaches to kids through their parent monitored/kreated instagram pages to fill up these skates. No be surprised talent is weak. They prey on the cray parents. These the kids whoSE parents try to make them good at hockey by posting them all over internet and hustling them into every skate available

Quite honestly, most parents have caught on and are not taking their kids to these camps. It’s mostly meant for parents new to hockey or kids playing house league or A. There are a lot of camps these days. I mean a lot. Few good ones but many that are just anwfu and the days of TPH and TBD holding a monopoly are gone.

The reality is that the kids on TMl will get first spots for TBD. The parents who decide not to fork up 15k will get their spots offered to other buyers.
