Parents have too many mental health issues and they are coming out in obsessing about their kids level of play in U10 hockey. It won’t end, expendable income, competing with thy neighbour and mental health issues are all factors. Some will get medicated, the rest will pass down their obsessive behaviour generationally.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 12:39 pmWe all need to do our part and bring back hockey to the masses. This sport specialization is a massive problem. Yes, kids are getting better than ever before. However, we are no progressing the community and participation of hockey along with this ride. Parents/Players need to do their part in building by sticking with one team, laying within a community, bringing friends u to the game. Don’t fall for this need to jump to super teams, specialized coaches and summer. In the meantime, neighbors will bring your kid along into other sports like soccer, basketball, baseball etc. We all need to look out for each other,Guest wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2024 10:56 amIf you don’t buy the camps and join their spring and buy the private lessons good luck to make Brick team. Better to buy a Lazy Boy, 70 inch tv and make some popcorn. Enjoy the show.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2024 10:45 am Personally doing Dryland with my kid rather than get into this summer mess of tournaments, skates and overpriced Brick tryouts. Not sure if my kid will fall behind I will ramp up in September and reach out to Make a Brick Team at that point. Just don’t want to spend $$$ for two summers but rather just next years Brick.
Brick 2025

Re: Brick 2025
If you and your kid went to the brick did you really think it was a waste of time? My kid went as well and while we certainly would have carried on and survived without I don't think it was a waste of time. I see people spending thousands on 3-4 day tournaments that they also have to fly to, stay in hotels for and really mean nothing. Hell I even saw people fly to tournaments in other places shortly after being AT the brick.
Choose your tournaments wisely - but seems like people also have money to burn these days. The Brick is worth going to, will be a memorable experience and like it or not - it impresses many people given that it's well known and has been around for a while...i can't say the same for many of the other spring/summer tournaments I see people waste money and time on.

If you don’t buy the camps, all the tourneys and privates please stop talking crap on Brick. Go buy a lazy boy, 80 inch tv, popcorn and salted butter. Oh yes a Diet Coke to keep your hungry filthy jealous thoughts on a diet. You will have good experience watching Brick on TV.
Re: Brick 2025
After last week my kid was offered a spot on the PH brick team , were going and can't wait. It will be a great experience , do I think this is the end all and be all no but it's something he will rememberGuest wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 5:58 pm If you don’t buy the camps, all the tourneys and privates please stop talking crap on Brick. The real tournament is the Quebec pee wee , if the G teams can eventually go come the time.

Re: Brick 2025
We know kids who have never made a top MD team in their lives get “invited” to brick tryouts. That should tell you everything you need to know about brick tryouts.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 5:58 pm If you don’t buy the camps, all the tourneys and privates please stop talking crap on Brick. Re: Brick 2025
Quebec kids are posting that they in the Brick team for 2025 why are the Ontario teams keeping quiet???
Re: Brick 2025
Quebec does things right. They have their team set early and start practicing as a team early, this is why they are successful as of late.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 4:05 am That's absurd. The brick is 10 months away
Here is my issue. We were offered a spot on the PH team, now I see JS is going to be involved and I want no part of it anymore. PH is going to lose a few kids that I have talked to now that JS is going to be around the 2015 team.
