AMHA is one of the strongest associations around .. several will fold before them.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2024 4:29 pmthey removed the post about why aurora will have told fold. lmao. made sense.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2024 8:45 amWhich association ? It would make most sense for association to just fold surrender ice time to NMHA. There isn’t anything of value that the association does.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 11:44 amLmfao that’s like the year you gave MM coach of the year. No parents voted on it.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 10:00 amExactly. And to your point, this year our association will be presenting our president with the ontario minor hockey president of the year award, as voted by the amha exec. We only had one member vote against, and as a show of our unity and inclusivity we will force their child to play house league next year.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 8:10 amDude, give it a rest. We get it, you are involved heavily with the association and are blind to see the reality of the situation. You gotta take a step back and understand why you association is losing/going to lose players and why you are not as successful as you think you are.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 7:33 am
I will tell you how this works .. we get our teams motivated in the back half of this year to win championships. We win championships, coupled with our excellent coaches, there will be more than enough demand for our association in 25/26
A good association starts right at the top with the president, setting the tone and finding and developing good people around them which will trickle down to your convenors and coaches.
I don't really care about win/loss records. It's all about creating an atmosphere where everyone (players and parents) wants to come to the rink. It's all about developing players and being competitive.
As for our president.. I hear he’s looking for a town to merge with.

Maybe. But within like 48 hours of the others. No one is staying.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2024 11:46 amAMHA is one of the strongest associations around .. several will fold before them.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2024 4:29 pmthey removed the post about why aurora will have told fold. lmao. made sense.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2024 8:45 amWhich association ? Coaching and Championships ..Guest wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2024 10:41 am coaching is everything. If they can find good coaches people will stay.
Re: Aurora Hockey
The conversations around the rink this weekend were pretty common about who is "for sure" staying and who is "for sure" leaving. Should be lots of drama to finish this season. Keep it classy parents.

No one cares about this little pisshole town.
Re: Aurora Hockey
I'm in a nearby association. Also lots of musing about bailing in our association. Sounds like nobody is happy with our "hometown hockey". Expect little to change. The demand for 3rd line A or AA wingers is low. But nice to know kids will have options.

Re: Aurora Hockey
it will always come down to coaching. the current U13 (next years U14) will have a lot of movement if they don't change coaches.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2024 9:49 amThe conversations around the rink this weekend were pretty common about who is "for sure" staying and who is "for sure" leaving. Re: Aurora Hockey
Thanks for posting. Question for you, my kid is the worst kid on his rep team in aurora, but we're nervous if his team folds he won't have a place to play rep anymore. Seems like all the butt kissing and toxic behavior I've caused for the past several years has gone to waste if they do in fact fold. Any tips for who to reach out to in your association to volunteer? I can't skate but would like to remain involved.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2024 10:54 am I'm in a nearby association. Also lots of musing about bailing in our association.
