No they didn’t, Kingston won 4-1. You shouldn’t be spreading lies online. Kingston U12 beats teams from the G all the time, and they beat up on the lower end G AAA teams worse than 4-1. The OMHA is about to get open borders, playing field is officially levelled. https://greaterkingstonhockey.com/Teams ... &Year=2024Guest wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2024 3:26 pmGTHL AA U12 champions Mississauga Beast beat U12 Kingston 4-1 in exhibition in Sept. On the other hand a reason to stay with AAA Omha is to get visibility at AAA tournaments. Assuming your kid is an impact maker he will stand out and coaches will call. But those same coaches won’t be watching AA games.
If you believe that GTHL AA is more competitive than OMHA AAA then long run development is potentially better in GTHL. Obviously would depend on factors like coaching etc. If you live on the outskirts of Toronto I'd get in the G. It's better.
Play AAA in OMHA or AA in GTHL?

Anyone who drives from Kingston to play in the G needs to get their head checked.

Kingston has not beat a GTHL team all season and the best OMHA teams like Quinte and Hamilton have got their asses kicked by GTHL teams. Check the scores.
Kingston is a third place OMHA team and lost to AA GTHL team that’s all you need to know!
Re: Play AAA in OMHA or AA in GTHL?
The only GTHL team U12 Kingston has played this season is the Sens, who are in last place in the GTHL. Kingston lost 2-1 and tied 5-5. They have not beat a GTHL team all year.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2024 11:51 pmNo they didn’t, Kingston won 4-1. You shouldn’t be spreading lies online. Kingston is an 18 ranked team. Not one player they have could make the roster of a top 6 GTHL team.

Guest wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2024 6:47 pm As the title says, in your opinion is it better to play AAA in the OMHA or AA in the GTHL at the U10/U11/U12 age groups? Most important things to us are qualified coaches who have good development plans, competitive games and a good team environment. My child currently plays AAA in a smaller OMHA centre but we are considering moving to the GTHL next season, where I anticipate he will be AA calibre. Any input would be appreciated.
Top 6 team in OMHA or else go GTHL..

QRD’s beat the GTHL TRW 4-2, Sens 11-1 and lost to Chicago Reaper 7-6 which are rank 3rd in the US.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2024 8:59 amThe only GTHL team U12 Kingston has played this season is the Sens, who are in last place in the GTHL. Any info about Whitby AA 2011? Will there be spots available next year?
How's the coach?

From what I'm hearing, there could be a couple spots open at F, possibly one on D.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2024 10:49 pm Any info about Whitby AA 2011? Will there be spots available next year?

Coach will most-likely be back next year, although consensus among the parent group would be that a new voice would be welcomed.
Re: Play AAA in OMHA or AA in GTHL?
I'd have to agree with this, probably better competition on a consistent basis playing AA in the GTHL vs. playing on a mid-to-lower end AAA team in the OMHA against teams that will either crush you, or you will crush.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2024 9:45 amGuest wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2024 6:47 pm As the title says, in your opinion is it better to play AAA in the OMHA or AA in the GTHL at the U10/U11/U12 age groups?
