LJK 2012 AAA

How does ND get the team when his kid is the worst forward on the AA team and 9th in scoring among the forward group?

What is wrong with LJK? Do they not vet kids of parent coaches to make sure they are at the AAA level? The kid isn't even at the tier 1 AA level! How in the hell does LJK allow a kid who is not AAA to steal a spot from a deserving kid? This is so wrong!!

Never played a game and politics between U14 and U13. Totally undeserving to AP for U14.

I understand it is a case of U14AAA having a lack of qualified applicants. Unfortunate

Then LJK bites the bullet and pays someone to coach. Giving the team to a parent whose kid is not even a factor in AA is bullsh*t.

Oh, but London is Loyal.

If LJK is such a reputable association it should have tons of applications each year at every age. Reality is it doesn’t…this is the result

What is important to your family? Development, leadership, healthy coaching, team play, individual stats, favouritism? Pick the team/coach that best aligns with your values and do that. The real winners will be the kids who come out of hockey with connections, leadership, and life skills that will carry them throughout adulthood.

If everyone is so unhappy, maybe they should have applied to Coach! ND will be just fine!

In fairness not every paying parent is qualified to coach. But those same parents are still qualified enough to recognize a questionable decision. The answer isn’t always: “should’ve applied to coach”. Parents should trust a responsible board to make decisions with logic based on defined criteria.

Well what if they had no other legitimate options, what do you do then?
