Absolutely agree. But nonetheless, if you weren't top 2 rounds and in some cases top 3 then you are irrelevant for now. Go away and play Jr fighting for ice. If your player isn't in the league next season they will never be a top player.
truth
Definitely some pretenders in 1st 2 rounds. But the 5th round and later guys will be forgotten by team when the dust settles.
Here is how it works, this is not a personal opinion (many of you have), the closest thing to the truth is scientific data-

A study by Springer examined the relationship between biological maturation and hockey success in Swedish male players, finding that early maturation is linked to success at the junior level, while advanced maturation is associated with less success at the adult level, including reaching the NHL. The study analyzed data from 2211 players over 20 years, tracking their progress from youth to pro levels.

You are just witnesses early maturation selections, NOT talent. Hockey is a sport that requires tremendous power and strength.,leading to faster skating, harder shots, and a greater ability to control the puck.

With the turmoil of having tryouts in spring will any of the drafted players get cut from u18aaa teams or are they guaranteed a spot?

Drafted players are already hand picked and on teams! Only first rounder will sign or go to jr.
If they leave the spots will be replaced with back ups ! Most top aaa teams are made !

What about the bottom drafted players where the non drafts are better?

Americans drafted in the 5th round or higher were drafted sight unseen, just based on stats. But you are told that your kid isn't good enough to make it, tell them to work harder, so we can crush their dreams again, when we don't do our due diligence. Scouts admitted it, Niagara is being investigated for it, but we are to believe the draft is fair and equitable to the kids? We are to believe that its only one team taking money? The OHL has lost all credibility.

Investigated for what ? Not drafting your kid. You are part of the problem. Yelling how life isn’t fair because it doesn’t go your way. That my friend is perhaps just life

You should educate yourself on reading the way in which something is written, pick up certain queue's as to what is being said or who is speaking, I work in the system, not a parent.
Moreover, answer me this question, why is Niagara's 1st and 4th round pick not reporting? They don't like the color's of the team? I have also been speaking with colleagues and they said it is known teams sell off 10-15 round draft positions every year to eager parents. I am done with the mess this causes every year and moreover what is does to the kids.
You are right life isn't fair, but those of us that are charged with their future, should show more empathy in our actions.
