2010 GTHL AA East
Re: 2010 GTHL AA East
For anyone still looking or unhappy with their current commitment, King City U16AA is having a skate on Saturday and is looking for players.
Really good, young, non-parent coach (with experience, and a Player Scouting & Development Consultant for Jr. B) who is taking over the team after being the assistant coach last year.
Skate is at Zancor Centre at 5:30pm on Saturday.

OMHA has also made changes to York Simcoe for a lot less travel, details here:

If a program is posting here, this is really sad and desperate. I've heard some terrible things about this! Stay far away.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 10:02 am For anyone still looking or unhappy with their current commitment, King City U16AA is having a skate on Saturday and is looking for players.

Re: 2010 GTHL AA East
King City brought in a paid coach, he built a super team, it blew up over the weekend, and the paid coach quit Sunday morning. The new coach was the assistant coach last year and in my opinion is going to do very well. Up to you, but if you're looking I would encourage you to come and meet him.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 10:14 amIf a program is posting here, this is really sad and desperate. Re: 2010 GTHL AA East
soooo you're saying a new paid coach of the 91st ranked of 94 teams built a "super team" somehow, but then on the weekend decided to blow it up and the remains of that will do "very well." Sounds promising.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 11:03 amKing City brought in a paid coach, he built a super team, it blew up over the weekend, and the paid coach quit Sunday morning. Really though, why would anyone in Toronto go and play for this team when they can play for a local sh*t show of a team and save on travel at least.

To whoever posted about the King Minor Hockey tryout – well done! This is exactly the kind of positive and helpful content this site should be used for. Unfortunately, there are a few people here who prefer to criticize kids, coaches, and even other posts. We can do better!

People outside of the city go to play for TR and LF. Same difference.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 11:13 amsoooo you're saying a new paid coach of the 91st ranked of 94 teams built a "super team" somehow, but then on the weekend decided to blow it up and the remains of that will do "very well." Re: 2010 GTHL AA East
Won't pretend it's going to be a top team, but I will say that the coach is young, motivated, has a great rapport with the kids and will do a lot to develop them as players. Not for everyone, but if you are looking, want a good coach, I would highly recommend attending and checking it out as an option.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 12:12 pmPeople outside of the city go to play for TR and LF. If you'd rather play for a local sh*t show, all the power to you as well.
