U16 and u18 seemed particularly bad last couple years.
Not surprising as the coaches were friends and family picks even though they both had multiple complaints against them.

It’s this and it happening at every age, just watch how many kids “show up” late in tryouts and make the team, what a surprise!! Every Elgin team is made. Coaches have been recruiting for months, the amount of tampering and backdooring that is going on as young as 2016 should be eye opening. Being a decent human is not on the list of qualifications to coach at Elgin.

It is a week long so add in rooms, food, likely a bus to travel from rink to hotel (2k a day) for 17 players as well as practice ice, coache staff overall costs ....
