It sounds like all the coaches were told there is no limit on imports. If NF really wants to do the right thing and attempt to turn this around, there is no better time than now. Take the top 17 players at every level and it should naturally make every team better/have kids playing where they should be
U12 and under needs to take 12 skaters max (unless they can find 15 actual AA level kids). Adding B level kids just to fill a roster will ensure every team has a losing record. Let those kids develop in Single A and try for a few winning seasons with records over 500.

That's it, associations holding kids back or hostage, the goal as a good coach or organization is to keep pushing players to the next level. And I personally believe in this new group that running nfmha now, and I have faith they will do the right thing and turn this organization around!
Teams like St C, West niagara, Whitby, ect all have MUCH smaller populations that oakville/burlington. And they always field competive teams that are at least middle of the pack. And now NF can utilize all the kids from Ft Erie, Pt Colborne, notl ect.
The 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012 Niagara Falls teams are consistently bottom 2 and have never had a winning record. This isnt just tough times - its ruining hockey for those boys. Tbh, Welland is doing it right by encouraging their boys to want to win - its not like they are sandbagging and winning omha every year, they are just fielding a competitive program.

There are boys on the NF AA teams who can barely skate or shoot - but apparently play lacrosse/soccer or go to school with the Coach's kid. Just take the best kids who are willing to work hard and let the buddies play houseleague together. Get real evaluators who arent from Niagara to pick the teams - I guarantee 3/4 of the current rosters will be cut. Then NF will start fielding competitive teams again.
