NCDC is brutal. Low level talent and poor treatment of players
If the NCDC treats its players as bad as Brockville or Pembroke treats their players than you could be right.
KA former CCHL president now runs NCDC so maybe things in NCDC are bad.

I know kids who have gone to ncdc. Complaint is being cut and dropped to premier but they knew when they were tendered it only meant invite to main camp. Nothing close to the complaints I have heard about treatment by some cchl teams including not honoring signed junior a contracts, not releasing players without playing games about release fee or verbal abuse by hot headed ego maniac owners etc...

What a joke, you want to Not Allowed on a CCHL team that cuts you, but have nothing bad to say about the NCDC. They will bring you down, promise you a spot on the NCDC team, you may change schools, get a billet family, change your life around or put it on hold for this, bit if they drop you to an even lower level of hockey at the last minute. You're ok with it!?!?!?! Stop bending over for this crap league sweetheart. At least in the CCHL, you're at home!!

Go for it champ, go play NCDC, and tell us all the glory and opportunities it brought you. I mean the NCDC can surely use some positive REAL press these days as it's only negative. Tell us you LIVED experience we would live to hear it!!
He has no lived experience with that crap league. He reads online and believes every word. Like you said, if you love it so much and it's so much better than the CCHL, go play there-nobody is stopping you.
If NCDC drops you, you play Premier. You know that going in. Where do you go if CCHL messes with you? Or cuts you in December. Junior B is not in same class as Premier or EHL. I haven't heard the NCDC investigated by anyone. I have heard HC is all over one franchise.

Stupid comment , USPHL which NCDC is part of operates outside Hockey USA so there is no one to investigate them other than themselves or the police. That is one of big benefits of sanctioned hockey, there is a higher authority to appeal to if issues.
You obviously do not get Jr hockey, unlike minor, you can get released or traded at anytime up to Jan 10th, it is the way it works. You may think it is "messing" but if a player performs then they stay!

Stupid comment, you likely know many more players in CCHL therefore will hear more. I guarantee players are treated very badly by many NCDC teams!

Guest wrote: Sun Sep 10, 2023 12:24 pm I'm hoping for some constructive advice from this group. The player was drafted and played in U18 last year. This year he was released from that Junior A team and will probably be playing Jr.B for the year. My question is if he is only able to sign with the CCHL team that drafted him as a nonproteced player as an affiliate, or is he free to play for any of the teams as an affiliate?

The team that drafted him owns his rights until he's 18. Unless they trade him or give you a release, you can only affiliate to that CCHL team. Rarely do they give releases
Wouldn't that make every drafted player a free agent on their 18th birthday?

Yes. CCHL teams, just like other leagues, need to watch how they treat players. If a player continues to develop and now is a legitimate Jr.A player, they can consider ALL options, not just the one team that drafted them. How they were treated, may impact their decision. This is the same in EVERY league. The NCDC treats players FAR worse. They are notorious for releasing players several months into the season, moving them down to dead end leagues. Now you've committed to the year away, payed for a billet made school sacrifices and you're going nowhere. Thanks NCDC

NCDC is rogue, no rules. Good luck with your little utopia. You have no idea what you're talking about. I love it

Interesting. Where can I find out more information on this, specifically that an 18 year old is a free agent and does not need a release or trade to move on to another CCHL organization?

Your credibility just hit rock bottom. Ehl alone gets 120 players a year into d3 schools.

Go the website, try reading. If you can't get your answer, email the league. Or wait here for the absolute truth on everything!

So, it sends shitty players to a shitty level of hockey. What's your point?!? Going to D3 will cost you more than going to Usport, At a USport program you'll get better hockey and a better education.

But you do you-chase those lofty dreams genius!! ahahahaaha
