Hi everyone, I haven’t been in this board for a while but I have been reading a lot of talk about free rides on the caps. I’m new to the team and was not aware. How is this done? The team budget does not show any player subsidies?
Normally parent coaches don’t take a coaching fee. If they are taking a coaching fee then this gets passed back to free ride players. They also hide it in the specialty training sessions and extra ice.
I would just ask the coach as you have a right to know. If there playing that game it will take privileges away from you kid. They will most likely deny it and you will need to make your own assessment.

Try to keep your head up high as others will label you as losers and suckers as you wank into the arenas. You have been suckers in and funding someone else’s minor hockey career.

What I would recommend is to put some dollars in the caps budget for a psychiatrist. You’re gonna need it for your sanity. Stay motivated and good luck with what’s to come.
