I get your a big CCHL fan (probably an owner lol) but knocking other leagues is not the answer. NCDC since 2012 has grown incredibly well and is fast becoming the go to league for many players. On the other hand, the CCHL is an old league which has a serious optics issue. It is the reason that many strong players that used to go to the CCHL now try to find other leagues to play in. I still think it's a decent league but you knocking other leagues is wrong and unprofessional. There are excellent programs outside the CCHL for player development.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 10:45 amGuest wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 9:16 amPlayers are showing up (many as cuts from NAHL camps) from the U.S and the advisors are working them in by (i am guessing) paying a premium (I am being generous). Actually it's not far off. I have spoken with 2 CCHL coaches who admitted they signed players they hadn't seen play. They had others attend camp who they hadn't seen play either. Will they release a player who they signed and lose one of their 40 cards??
Those 2 leagues aren't close to the CCHL. The CCHL is better than the NCDC which is also better than those 2 leagues
It's you who's not informed. You're probably the father if a player not good enough play in the CCHL, and went to the NCDC.
Their caliber of play is low, their travel for a league that low caliber is too high. They can't compete and are spouting the same "marketing " lines you have regurgitated here. If a player left for the US to play in the USHL or the NAHL, different story.

With all the talk about NCDC, they certainly don't need to market it up here

Checked in on this site after not looking for a while. It is still as ridiculous and pathetic as ever.
Re: Ottawa U18 2022/23 Season
The NCDC Hitmen had 9 commitments for 2022-23. These players received their commitments while playing NCDC and then played a year of USHL or BCHL before moving to D1. That is usually how it works.
