Spoken from a true 2012 aged parent who's on the board. Boards do favours ALL the time. I've been on the board. Don't BS. There is 10000% bias on a minor hockey board when it comes to coach and player selection. A board member influences coach selection, coach selection influences board members kid to play on the team. C'mon. It's a simple agenda. You can't honestly say with a straight face that the board is completely non biased. Technically they should declare conflict, but unfortunately nothing would ever get done. SO, the bias exists.

Like most of the fools on this site You dont have a clue. No “board member” has any influence on coach selection. The coach mentor picks an unbiased coaching selection committee to pick coaches. No board members can be on this committee or can vote on coach selections. The committee picks the coachs they want - they could care less what the board wants. The Only conflict that could exist is if the coach mentor has a kid on a team.

Or if the Coach Mentor perhaps picks his own son to coach
Or perhaps picks his sons boss/mentor at the big Bud Gardens
And then when those 2 years are up picks the bosses BFF who will be their puppets?? Right keep trying to push the unbiased agenda.

Thats got nothing to do with player selection- the board has nothing to with player selection.
Player selection is corrupt but that is due to corrupt coaches not the board

I’d challenge that. Sure every org has their issues but they aren’t as awful as EMC seems to be. Does EMC just have so many egomaniacs on the board and coaching staff in comparison to other orgs? And then further to that, certain teams with a major toxic parent group?

Is this a joke? Have you seen our board at LJK? What about the board at HPL quitting because they chose a coach that wasn’t recently suspended for four months? Or the fact that there’s a lawsuit against the organization. This is a minor Hockey thing not an EMC thing. Chatham‘s teams are littered with players who are not AAA. A lot of them with parents on the board or coaching staff.
Have you ever been to a A, MD or house league game? Those parents are even crazier than AAA. Again, this is minor hockey. It is corrupt, it is full of people that have the best intentions for their own children, and if you’re on here, commenting, you’re part of the problem not the solution.

And Chathams 2012 team has 3 players cut by EMC ... and just beat us ... at home.... please explain that

Well genius i guess then every board members kid is on the first line? And no board member has ever had their kid cut? Coaches dont give a fk about your precious board stupid - they pretend to to get what they want - they will go along with the biard only if it suits them - dont kid yourself - a coach only cares about himself and his kid

Unless the coach needs the board members to stay on as a coach so his precious little Johnny gets all the minutes, then suddenly board members kids wearing letters on their sweaters

The board has no control over the commitee the coach mentor picks . The board does not pick players - can not pick players in any way. A corrupt coach will be influenced by any person period. Nothing to do with the board. Any corrupt picks you see are due to interactions of the coach with other corrupt people. Not the board - get over it.
