My kid is fine. We don’t work with garbage coaches.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2023 10:10 pmTake your kid back to HL...it's perfect for you and him.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2023 4:33 pmSome people think that you should be responsible for your own actions - you offered a spot to a kid and now you have to develop and play him/her. It's on you, not on the kid.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2023 11:28 amSome people like the concept of incentive and reward based on merit, as well as a more competitive environment. This is not for you.
Clearly you place the emphasis on "participation" and thats fine...the hockey community understands and that why there is a division that would suit your expectations of "equal ice" perfectly. In fact there are more leagues / teams in this division, compared to the most competitive divisions where coaches do shorten the bench to win games.
Given that "equal ice" divisions offer more opportunity to choose from, I'm not sure why you have an issue with the more competitive divisions, with fewer teams to choose from?
But being responsible for your own actions unfortunately is not for everyone in nowadays society. Too bad you are one of those people.

Oh, and btw, he’s a top pair D, so he will only benefit ice-time wise if his coach would be a Neanderthal, but I don’t want his coach to be a garbage human being who has no clue.

If his coach runs equal ice for all his players, how did you come to the conclusion that your kid is in the top pair?Guest wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 11:29 am Oh, and btw, he’s a top pair D, so he will only benefit ice-time wise if his coach would be a Neanderthal, but I don’t want his coach to be a garbage human being who has no clue.

Well, it doesn't take much to figure out how the quote function works, but here we are.
Re: You're down a Player and can't AP, Do you...
Seriously...if your coach runs and equal ice program like you claim, then he wouldn't have PP1 PP2 PK1 PK2 and wouldn't be rewarding players with extra ice because that would be taking minutes away from other players. Also, he must have promised his goalies equal number of starts with a rotating 50/50. Would he even pull a goalie if he's having an off night?
If your kid is getting the exact same minutes and exact same opportunities (regardless of how well he's playing) as the other 5D (regardless of how well they are playing)...what makes you think he's in the top pair?
IF your coach switches up the D at any point, so that your kid is on the ice for key moments of the game, then its guaranteed that D5 D6 aren't seeing the same minutes as your kid.
Either your kid blends in with the D core and the coach rolls the pairing equally - or - his coaches play him like a top D because he is...either way you're full of shit.
