With open borders next season, this team will struggle. Our better kids are leaving for QRD. Perhaps kids who deserve to play will finally get their chance. Our defence needs to be evaluated. The kids not getting regular shifts help the team way more than the ones who are getting all the ice time. Hopefully we get a coach who cares about the team and not just one player next season.
How many changes do you think QRD would make in this age group? The U12 team is pretty solid. I’ve watched them a bunch of times and they seem to play everyone. Didn’t realize equal ice was supposed to happen in AAA. DC and the rest of the parent coaches are doing a pretty good job
MP could coach the U12 and they would still be near the top. We are still at an age where individual talent can be successful. The rest of the East is very weak at U12 other than QRD. Even that gap is closing very fast. Who said anything about equal ice time. But I did mention that the kids who are more beneficial to the team success are not the ones getting the additional playing time.

How many kids on your son’s team will leave for QRD and where will the QRD cuts go? Back to Kingston or Peterborough/NorthShore?

2-3 F and 2 D gone next season from KJG. QRD making room as we speak for them. That way there is lots of shifts for "kids who deserve to play"   I bet you are the poster boy for DEI at your workplace.

Fake news. KJG movement won't be decided until coaches are named. KJG doesn't even have 2 D that could make QRD. 1 only if he decides to go.

A lot of time and money goes into our kids hockey season - our executive needs to invest some of their time to have a program that makes kids want to stay with GK not want to leave.
More will this year

So I have recently seen that kAMHA and Ice wolves have there coaches. GK has numerous age groups with out. Please move on from ST and PM they have destroyed this org!

QRD is a deep group. Don't see anyone from our U12 being able to make the jump there next year and earn a roster spot.

MP for U14! This is a complete JOKE! Absolute JOKE of a coach, good luck kids because you're not going to learn a GD thing.
Who is coaching U18 the rest of this season and if next years U18 coach is JC, we won’t be back
A guy with a record like JC cannot be hired again, he released many good players or players left as they chose Kamha over the dysfunctional GK, why B is ST and PM still existing.
When will coaches be picked? Predictions for the 2025 u10group? Whatever happened to non parent coaches? Parents who coach also just favour their own kids over the team it’s sickening

Not true at all. Look at the U12 team my son plays on. JC hardly ever touches the ice.

Go back to house league if you’re looking for equal ice time. JC and 3 other kids are the sole reason we are flirting with second place. They should be on the ice every minute they are not exhausted. Otherwise we can’t compete.
